The National Trusts Cotehele Estate, Cornwall

The National Trusts Cotehele Estate holds many areas of woodland, we are delighted to call this our home. We have access to several areas of woodland on the estate all of which are beautiful in their own way.

Comfort wood is deciduous woodland with species such as Ash, Oak, Beech and Birch present. The woodland gives you a good feeling of isolation and has stunning scenery surrounding it to take in. Comfort wood and the Cotehele estate are within the Tamar valleys Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; you will see this upon visiting.

Gulley Wood, Dunsford, Devon

Gulley Wood in Devon is set amongst vast acres of beautiful countryside and woodland. Located near Exeter it’s easily accessed from the A38 and is only a short drive away from Dartmoor National Park. Serious Outdoor Skills is proud to run its courses from this great location.

There is a wide variety of flora and fauna and it doesn’t take long to realize this. There are deer, badgers, foxes and dormice amongst the wildlife to keep a look out for along with a great range of wild plants and flowers scattered around this attractive deciduous woodland.

Within this vast area of land there are three ponds and a stream, there is a mixture of meadow and woodland to run our professional courses from. We think this diverse environment will benefit your learning and understanding of the great outdoors.

loch laggan , Cairngorms

Loch laggan is a beautiful fresh water loch situated in the Cairngorm national park, Scotland. We are delighted to offer our Expedition and adventure courses in this stunning location

Surrounding the loch there are some well known mountains such as Creag Meagaidh which give you far fetching views of this amazing terrain.

The area is surrounded with great wildlife, if you are lucky enough to join us on our Autumn trips it is very likely you will hear the roar of the mighty Red Deer in the rutting season
